"Start-Up City: Miami"1 was a one-day 'ideas festival' organized by The Atlantic , Atlantic Cities, and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation to explore emerging models of urban technology development and highlight Miami's emerging technology and start up communities. It was hosted at the New World Center in Miami Beach.
The event featured talks by local and out-of-town leaders and luminaries including former Miami mayor Manny Diaz, Atlantic Senior Editor Richard Florida, and venture capitalist Brad Feld.
