Issues of Focus
The Wild Ramp tries to connect local producers with consumers based on the principle that local food is better ethically, sustainable, and feasibly. The market sources goods from a regional market, including West Virginia and Ohio. This addresses issues of community agriculture and food availability for the Huntington community.
History of Organization
This organization began as a project by a group of students from Marshall University. Through their work, The Wild Ramp opened on July 12, 2012 and has been providing a community-driven market year-round since to the residents around Huntington. Since then, they have continued to expand and offer more produce from a large number of producers.
Programs and Projects
The Wild Ramp continues to seek new local and regional producers to become sellers. They also continually have a need for volunteers to help with operations, outreach, and further support.
