South Norwalk |
South Norwalk (commonly known as Sono, and formerly Old Well) is the largely commercial neighborhood south of Interstate 95. The area features many bars and eateries. It is the center of Norwalk's nightlife and dynamic culture.
South Norwalk is home of the annual Sono Arts Celebration. It is also site of the South Norwalk Metro-North Station], the [[Maritime Aquarium]], a post office, banks, and a movie theater.
South Norwalk is generally bounded by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and West Avenue on the west, the Norwalk River and Norwalk Harbor on the east, the Connecticut Turnpike and Central Norwalk on the north, and Long Island Sound in the south. The main commercial area is Washington Street between Main Street and Water Street.
