Andrew Demcak is Senior Collection Development librarian with the Oakland Public Library and an award-winning poet and novelist. In 2023, he was selected to be the keynote speaker for the California Library Association's annual conference to celebrate his contributions to LGBTQ+ Young Adult literature.
