Arthur E. Navlet (October 25, 1893 - August 1981) was the nephew of Charles Navlet, the founder of the small Navlet Nursery and Seedstore chain. In 1923, Arthur Navlet took over management of the stores, and focused his attention on Navlet's Nursery .in Oakland, California. He is credited with having suggested the idea of the storybook theme park Children's Fairyland to the members of the Lake Merritt Breakfast Club in 1948. Navlet was a member of the Business Men's Garden Club of Oakland [not sure if he was one of the four founding members].
Navlet died in Oakland and is (Mike here, not logged in) interred at Mountain View cemetery.
