Avon Apartments is a 24 unit apartment building at 611 East 20th Street. It was built in 1930 by J.S. Bercovich.
When constructed, the apartments included Marshall and Stearns wall beds, and building hardware from B. Simon Hardware.
In 1951, resident Alice Valva contracted polio and died at Highland Hospital. 2
There is a smaller apartment building at 2324 E19th St. that is also named Avon Apartments and was constructed c.1926. 3
