Betty Marvin is an Oakland historian. She is the planner responsible for the Oakland Cultural Heritage Survey (the city's study has surveyed every visible building in Oakland and rated them A to D for historical importance), but is probably better known for her work with the Oakland Heritage Alliance Walking Tours, the Oakland Heritage Alliance, and most famously for her amazing impression of Julia Morgan. She is a wealth of knowledge about Oakland history and particularly about Miss Morgan. She also did walking tours for the City of Oakland Walking Tours program.
You can contact her in her capacity as the head of the city's Cultural Heritage Survey at her office: (510) 238-6879.
