Additional Details:

The Chabot Space & Science Center is a center for people to learn about the Universe and the Planet.

Programs

Tyke Explorers Workshop at Chabot Space & Science Center: Tuesdays, 10am, 12:30pm, or 3pm. For ages 2.5-5 years. Expand your preschooler's universe by enrolling in our Tyke Explorers Program. Kids get to bring a special grown-up to share in the excitement of science and space. Classes are a combination of instructor-led lessons and self-guided, hands-on experimentation and exploration.

Free Telescope Viewing

The public is invited to Chabot Space and Science center every Friday and Saturday evening from 7:30 PM - 10:30 PM for free viewing through their telescopes on their outside observation deck. You will want to enter around the back and not the front, as the other services and exhibits require you to buy a ticket (or purchase a membership for easy repeat visits.)

Sometime telescope viewing is not available because of weather (high humidity, or high winds can close things down), or because of special events. It is best to check the status on their web site before making the long trek up the hill.
