Farmer Joe's Marketplace is a locally owned and operated market with two locations: the original in Laurel that opened in 1994, and a new, larger location that opened in 2006 in the former Dimond Theatre. They can be most closely compared to Berkeley Bowl in price and product choices, but the prices are higher and the quality of the produce isn't nearly as good.
