Hugo Weitz (October 18, 1852 – February 24, 1936) was a photographer in San Francisco and Oakland, known particularly for taking class photos at schools.

Weitz was born in Posen, Prussia, now part of Poland. He arrived in New York in 1878, and was living in San Francisco by 1883. He married Augusta Kulhke (Weitz) (August 18, 1863 – December 4, 1947) about 1885. They did not have any children.

The 1884 San Francisco directory lists Hugo as the proprietor of the St. Louis Art Studio. Hugo had a photo business with Alexander Dijeau, Weitz and Dijeau, then worked on his own, first in San Francisco then in Oakland.

Hugo and Augusta lived in San Francisco until about 1908, when they moved to 3005 Capp Street (3011 after 1912 renumbering) in Fruitvale. By 1925, they had moved to 2612 Kingsland Avenue. Following Hugo's death, Augusta lived on Cedar Street in Berkeley with a niece and nephew.
