The Leona Canyon Regional Open Space Preserve is an East Bay Regional Park near Merritt College and the Leona Heights Park in the Oakland hills.
The preserve covers 290 acres and has a number of trails, and is "an ideal place for hiking, running, biking, dog walking, and similar activities." 1 It is one of the newer EBRPD parks. Bay Area Hiker warns that "The preserve lacks nearly all the amenities of a park, and you'll find no restrooms, drinking water, nor any of the extras flaunted by other local EBRPD properties." 2
