Currently serving as Alameda County Supervisor for District 4. First elected in 2000 to a four-year term and sworn in on Jan 8th, 2001. Re-elected in 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020 for successive four-year terms. Miley is running for a seventh term in 2024 against Jennifer Esteen.. District 4
A May 2nd, 2013, news story reported that despite rampant rumors, Miley would not run for Mayor in 2014.1
Miley Served on the Oakland City Council for District 6, 1990-2001, for three four-year terms. He ended his 1998 term early after he was elected to the Alameda County Board of Supervisors in 2000.
