The Occidental Street peacock took up residence in North Oakland in 2020, and has divided the neighbors with its noise. Some residents have named the peacock Abraham, or Bruce, Kevin, or Peter or Paco. Others want the city to get rid of him. 1
Around 2022, a peacock started showing up on Oak Grove near the Rockridge Trader Joe's. He has also been dubbed Kevin by some. Is it the same bird? It's not so far as the...peacock...flies.
