This small, hole-in the wall type place is a staple for those working on the Embarcadero. They make delicious sandwiches and have a salad bar for those who don't want to wait in the long line. You can often see people who work on Coast Guard Island eating here. A husband and wife team run the show and are usually the only people working there: she makes the food and he rings up the customers. They know the regular's orders and are generally awesome.
Recommended: eggplant or hummus sandwich (comes with tahini and tabouli salad. Sometime siracha is thrown in). Can get in wrap or on bread.
Outside tables are dog-friendly.
