Rockwell Apartments and Nelson Arms Apartments are two apartment buildings at Foothill Blvd. and 26th Avenue, both built in 1928 by N.E. Rockwell and Henry Nelson.
When constructed, they featured Frigidaire refrigerators, Marshall and Stearns wall beds, and steam heat. 1,2,3 The two buildings are kitty-corner from each other, and have similar footprints. Ads for the Rockwell Apartments noted that the building was located in the "Sunshine belt." 3 The Nelson Arms building was sold for $125,000 in 1930. 4
