Schnebly, Hostrawser, and Pedgrift (SH&P) were contractors and builders in the early 1900s. Henry W. Schnebly, John F. Hostrawser, and James H. Pedgrift were the principals.
In 1907, Schnebly was in partnership with Laughland at 1443 Broadway (1943 Broadway after renumbering).
The 1912 Sanborn shows SH&P at 1937-1951 Broadway.
SH&P were the earliest occupants (found so far; 1914 ad) of 601 Jackson after the house there was demolished, and may have constructed the building in 1913. 3
Pedgrift operated under his own name from c.1917; a 1918 ad lists just Schnebly and Hostrawser.
Hostrawser died in 1926. 2
