The Sierra Apartments are at 1502 Alice Street. The building was constructed in 1912 by Sommarstrom Brothers, and designed by Clay N. Burrell.
In 1920, Mr. and Mrs. Clausen sold the building to Emil Westerberg of Fresno. 2
Residents were forced to flee into the night and the building was damaged by a fire in 1958. The source was thought to be arson. 3
