Susan "Susie" Helen Snook (Guile) (October 24, 1864–April 25, 1952) was a teacher c.1892–c.1896 at the Cole Grammar School which Jack London had attended.

She was the daughter of former city council member William S. Snook and brother of attorney Charles E. Snook.

Susan married John Jones Guile (1854-1928) in New York in 1910. John was a widower, and had two sons by a previous marriage, Hubert V. Guile and Reginald Guile.

By 1920, Susan had moved back to Oakland with John. Sadly, John died in 1928. By 1935, Susan had moved to San Francisco where she resided at the St. Francis Hotel.

Death and Burial

Susan died April 25, 1952. Susan is buried in Plot 12 in Mountain View Cemetery, along with John.
