The Trestle Glen Apartments at 726 Haddon Place opened in 1923. The four-unit building was constructed by Harry C. Knight. When constructed, the apartments included wall beds from the California Wall Bed Company. 1 At the time, the address was 726 Haddon Road. Haddon Road then extended to Excelsior (now MacArthur Boulevard) at the base of the Haddon Hill Stairs, as the MacArthur Freeway had not yet been constructed.
The building's current owners are George and Freida Cawog, who purchased the building in 1967. 2 Before retiring circa 1992, George operated George's Laundry & Dry Cleaners less than a quarter mile from the building at 3310 Lakeshore Avenue.
The apartment building is currently signed as the Randa Apartments, apparently in honor of the Cawogs' daughter, Randa (Cawog) Dudum. 3
