In February 1998, Redwood Road just past the Chevron station at 4150 Redwood started sliding. 4665 Geranium Place was evacuated, and 4673 was yellow-tagged. 1 In December three houses were demolished. 2
Reconstruction took a long time, and traffic was one lane each way until the road was stabilized and repaired.
