from SF CallWilliam Dobson (July, 1820-January 26, 1907) was a gardener at Mills College for 25 years, until the end of his life. He was born in England, then went to Australia. He eventually moved to California.
When he died, the school held a funeral for him. William was buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
