Yarn Bombing is the act of attacking something in the public realm and dressing it up in Yarn. It's now a global phenomenon.
In November of 2011, the OMCA hosted a museum-wide knitting circle to create Yarn Bombs to place as Art Installations throughout the property. Streetcolor is a Yarn Bomber who initiated the event.
Akin to the Oakland Gnomes being sighted all over town, if you spot a bit of colour in the distance, it just might be an Oakland Yarn Bomb!
