Make the News. The Trenton News, it’s yours to use. Check out the details at the TN website http://web.ncf.ca/en369.
We have to go green quickly. But it’s hard to get your story out. Even a 3-line ad costs too much. So we structured the Trenton News like Wikipedia. You can write your own stories, print and distribute, find subscribers, collect the cover price. Your school can write a special issue. Make a version for your town. Earn money defending your future.
This is not about money. It’s about saving the planet.
We use the Trenton News to tackle fundraising for kids (Cash4Kids) and job creation for youth (YouthWorks). Suppose you want to find work house painting. Someone else will do house cleaning. Marketing for each other is twice as effective. Add more people to offer a full set of skills, you’ve got a GREEN TEAM with a mission. You could help struggling seniors, tackle food security, or buy tools to systematically growing food in backyards. Now you’ve got a way to get the word out.
To make it easy, and with a save-the-planet theme, just use the Climate Kids logo for ID badges.
Write about what you care about. Be a junior reporter and interview people you’ve always wanted to meet. Get into events with a press pass.
Go further and make videos or a news show. Isn’t trying how you learn skills? Writing, drawing, photography, design and layout, all fun. Print, bind and publish your own books. You just need a chance to get started.
