Crank Arm Brewing is a craft brewery with tasting room located in the warehouse district in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. Their mission is to provide fresh artisan beer while utilizing green transportation methods.

They do not serve food, but have take-out options from a few local spots, including The Fiction Kitchen.

The beers seem to be constantly changing, which means they're fresh. You can get a sample most beers on a "gear" tray.

Patrons can park streetside on in the nearby Wake County parking deck. There are plenty of bike racks out front.

The tap room is themed in bicycle decor and there are several TV's to keep up with sports. There is extreme-jumbo, human-szied Jenga (large wooden blocks) for you to pass the time and test your Jenga skills.

Spend some time enjoying the large Greenway map on the wall by the door to plan your next Greenway adventure.

Sample rotating beers include:

Rickshaw Rye IPA

7% ABV / 57 IBU

This American Style IPA get a 24% dose of spicy rye malt to add complexity. In addition we use American variety Zythos blend and Nugget hops to give a unique flavor and aroma.

White Wall Wit

4.4% ABV / 23 IBU

A new take on a Belgian classic. While we do use traditional wheat malt and Belgian yeast typical of Wit style beers we derive the citrus aroma and flavor not from spices, but instead from Falconer's Flight hops. Light and crisp, this one will have you wanting more.

Unicycle Single Hop Pale Ale

4.8% ABV / 35 IBU

This crisp American Style Pale Ale is meant to be both enjoyable and educational (to your palate). The malt and hop bill will stay constant during the year with one catch: Each time we brew we will feature a different hop for bittering, flavor, aroma, and dry hopping. This will let you taste the uniqueness of each hop.

Flying Scotsman Scottish Ale

6.0% ABV / 18 IBU

Traditional 90 schilling Scottish Ale. This deep copper-brown ale is very malt forward with a touch of roasted barley and smoked malt with a medium body.

Eat Sleep Bike E.S.B.

5.6% ABV

This seasonal English ale is as traditional as they come. A medium bodied Extra Special Bitter has a good portion of crystal malt for a slight caramel flavor along with English East Kent Goldings hops.

Icycle Belgian Brown Ale

6.4% ABV / 19 IBU

A medium bodied, low hop character ale with added ginger, orange zest and cardamom.
