World In Motion Dance, Movement & Music Center

Located in Morrisville on Chapel Hill Road (NC 54) near the intersection with Aviation Parkway, next to Neomonde Bakery.

"Find what moves you at World In Motion."

World In Motion, which opened in January 2011, is a unique concept in dance studios.  Owners Sashi, Heather and Emily wanted their studio to serve as a cultural community center and meeting place for friends, fun and fitness.  The three owners are all bellydancers, each with many years of dance, performance and teaching experience under their (coin and tassel) belts.  Through bellydance, they have enjoyed learning about the cultural roots of the dance they love and the bonding experience they have shared with others through dance and wanted to pass it on.

Aside from a variety of bellydance classes, World In Motion also offers Zumba and Ballet Barre Fitness classes, and regular workshops in Indian dance, Yoga, Mother-Daughter dance, Women's Self Defense and more.  Weekly children's classes, including Music Together and Kids' Dance Fitness, are also available based on demand.

In the summer, World In Motion holds 3 week-long "Culture Quest" camps for 6-11 year olds.  Each camp focuses on a different part of the world and teaches participants about that region's music, language, arts and crafts.  For example, the "Asian Odyssey" camp running in June focuses on Asia and Polynesia and has activities ranging from making grass skirts and learning the hula to learning to write Japanese characters and meeting a ninja!

The studio is available for rent for classes, rehearsals or children's birthday parties.  For more information about classes, events and all that World In Motion offers, please see
