The Old Raleigh Post Office (also referred to as the Early Office Building) is a small frames structure and a rare surviving example of Raleigh's antebellum Greek Revival commercial architecture. The beaded siding, heart-pine flooring, and early mantels remain intact. Moved several times, the Raleigh Historic Development Commission brought it to its present site in 1972 and restored it in 1976. It is part of Mordecai Historic Park and is open to public.
