The Pleasant Ridge & Ramsgate Community Watch, is a non-profit organization in Raleigh, North Carolina. We are not a home owners association, but merely neighbors. Our goals are simple: work with Raleigh Police Department to reduce crime in our neighborhood and unite our neighbors to be effective community watch members. In addition to that, we are working with the City of Raleigh to enhance our neighborhood and make it a safer & better place to live. Read our Vision Statement to get a better understanding of what our group is about and what we want to achieve in our neighborhood.
Our watch area is triangulated by Lake Wheeler Road, Lineberry Drive, and Lawrence Drive, on the south side of I-40/I-440, South Raleigh. The Community Watch Program includes the following streets:

- Home types: ~420 single family homes
- Home style: A mixture of ranch, split level, and modern
- Age: The older part of the neighborhood was built in the 1970's. A majority of Pleasant Ridge was build out during the 1980's. Newer portions of the neighborhood were added during the 1990's and early 2000's.

- The neighborhood is walkable with sidewalks on Sierra Drive, Lawrence Drive, Lineberry Drive, Joanne Drive, Henslowe Drive, Ramsgate Street, and other streets.
- Caroline Pines Civitan park is a short walk on the other side of Lake Wheeler Road--Amenties include an off-leash dog park, baseball field, volley ball court, basketball courts, pavilions, weight room, meeting space, and more.
- The neighborhood is convenient to I-40 located less than 1 mile south of the interstate.
- Neigborhood shopping is a 10-15 minute walk to the Raleigh Oaks shopping center located at Tryon Road and Lake Wheeler Road.
- Regional shopping is about a 10-minute drive: Crossroads in Cary and multiple shopping centers in Garner.
- Downtown Raleigh is a 10-minute drive or about a 20-25 minue bike road (depending on your bike route).
- The Walnut Creek Greenway is located just over a mile north of the neighborhood on Lake Wheeler Road.
- The North Carolina State Farmer's Market is about a mile north of the neighborhood on Lake Wheeler Road.
- The ca. 1750 Yates Mill is 2.5 miles south of the neighborhood on Lake Wheeler Road.
