Memorial Auditorium, Meymandi Concert Hall, A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater, Kennedy Theatre
(1932; 1990; 1997) - 2 East South Street

At the center of this new complex is the old Memorial Auditorium, the original Doric facade of which can still be seen inside the newer, expanded lobby. Though containing more than twice the space of the older building, this respectful expansion modestly steps back (both figuratively and literally) to allow the symbolic temple form to maintain center stage.
