Capitol Park is the midtown area bounded by 10th street, 15th street, N street and L street. The main attraction, of course, is the State Capitol. However, the park also features monuments and memorials to various groups, fruit trees, a coy pond, a rose garden, and an old insectory.
Many rallies occur on the steps and areas close to the Capitol. Reservations for these areas is coordinated by the California Highway Patrol. Applications can be found in the Capitol near the south entrance.
