The Isleton Library is located in the southernmost tip of Sacramento County. It is housed on the Isleton Elementary School campus. Established in 1915, it has a service area of 55 square miles, which includes the City of Isleton. During the traditional school year, September to June, the library is available to the Isleton Elementary School during school hours, then open in the afternoons to the public. During the school's Winter Break and Summer Vacation, hours are extended for the public.

During the school year, the library hosts eight class visits each week, Pre-school through 6th grade, and offers storytimes and programs for classes throughout the year.

The Isleton Library collection includes books, magazines, books on CD, Playaways, DVDs, CD-ROM Software, Spanish and Chinese language collections. The small library provides Internet service with six Public PCs. The PCs also include the following programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Front Page, Encarta, World Atlas, Streets & Trips, and many games. Internet use is free and printing is available at 15 cents per copy. Headphones and floppy discs are available for a small charge.

The Isleton Library has that small-town flavor that is so appreciated in a neighborhood branch. Isleton Library serves a mainly rural community and has a small but active Friends of the Library group. Current president of the Friends of the Library is Gigi West. The Friends host an ongoing bookclub that meets approximately once a month on Saturday morning.
