Serving Rancho Cordova since 1959, the Library has occupied its present building since September 1975. Thanks to a generous bequest from the Anne Richardson estate, the library was remodeled over a period of 3 months and reopened its doors on February 13, 2010. The collection includes over 80,000 books, magazines, CDs, DVDs and audio books and there are over 36,000 library cardholders in the Rancho Cordova area. We have books and magazines available in Russian, Spanish, Vietnamese and Chinese for adults and children.
The library has 15 Adult/Teen Internet stations, 3 Kids Internet stations. 1 AWE station for kids and 5 library catalog computers. The meeting room is available for use through sign-up by community groups.
We have many programs every month. Storytimes are offered for babies from 0 - 24 months, and for preschoolers 3 - 5 years old.
