Tower Cafe is located next to the Tower Theater, which makes it a perfect place for pre or post movie going meals or dessert. The fare at Tower has a little bit of everything. Diners can find Caribbean, Asian, Italian and Latin-fused cuisine on the menu as well as burgers (both meat and vegetarian), and salads big enough to feed two. Their brunch is very popular with the Sacramento crowd, perfect on a sunny morning when you opt to sit on their lavishly landscaped patio. Lastly, desserts at Tower are plentiful and decadent. A cruise by the dessert display makes it hard to resist. The seating on Tower’s patio is seat yourself, so grab a menu and either find a seat or claim your place in an informal line. For seating inside, the policy changes, so look at the blackboard by the door for guidance.

Make sure you order the "seasonal" half order, which features a rotating combination of fresh fruit filling stuffed inside a half-loaf of French bread topped with cinnamon whipped cream. I seriously dream about this breakfast throughout the week. Total calorie buster, I'm sure, but well worth it. —kristinburns
