Antonelli Pond was aquired and is managed by the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County. It is a small human-made pond, fed by Moore Creek as it passes through to Natural Bridges State Beach, and it is home to a wide variety of wildlife. There is a loop path that circles the perimeter of the pond and crosses over the railroad bridge. The land was acquired in four parcels by the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County, with full ownership by 1994.
History
Antonelli Pond was originally called Moore Pond, because its water source came from Moore Creek Preserve. It was dammed to create a water supply for the San Vicente Lumber Company's mill.

2010-10-31 16:48:19 The pond was called Mazzoni's pond until the adjacent land was acquired by the Antonelli family in the 1960s. No one in Santa Cruz called it Moore Pond. —75.41.57.2
