McSkunk Junction is a railroad switch on the Roaring Camp & Big Trees Narrow Gauge Railroad. It is in Roaring Camp near the millpond. The conductor has to get off the train and throw the switch to set the tracks so the train can go to the depot (and water tank) or to the playing field.
According to legend the name was chosen to mark an event between conductor "Mac" McJunkins and a skunk.
The junction is within walking distance of Roaring Camp Railroads. Bikes are allowed.
Roaring Camp Railroads has a gift shop and food service.
Bus route 33 passes by Roaring camp. Get train tickets at the depot at Roaring Camp. Roaring Camp is across the tracks from the Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park parking lot.
