The Pacific Rim Film Festival hosts feature films from Asia and the South Pacific. |
Many films are also selected based on the theme "When Strangers Meet", in the |
interest of promoting cross-cultural communication, understanding, and the belief |
that art can dispel fear and prejudice born of ignorance — and can promote |
harmony among the human family. |

Screening of the films and the after-film discussions are held at various venues throughout Santa Cruz County. It is open to the public and is free of charge.
