Pleasure Point is a local surf spot and resort district along East Cliff Drive between Moran Lagoon and 41st Avenue.
As far as can be determined, Pleasure Point got the name because it was once the location of Pleasure Point Roadhouse built around 1904. The name started to appear on maps as early as 1934. The former name was Soquel Point.
