Santa Cruz High School is the only public high school in the downtown area of the city of Santa Cruz. It has about 1,100 students grades nine through 12.
It was added to the Santa Cruz Historic Building Survey in 1979.
In 1981 it was awarded Landmark Status by the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History.
