University Town Center is a mixed residential/commercial space located at the North-West corner of Cathcart Street and Pacific Avenue. The residential units are part of UCSC Housing.
University Town Center was built to replace the buildings that once housed J.C. Penney and Ford's department store, which were demolished after the Loma Prieta Earthquake. It was built and designed by Barry Swenson Builder and Thacher & Thompson Architects at a cost of $20 million. The building has five floors and features 86,000 square feet total of residential, retail, and office space.
The north side of University Town Center abuts the Logos Building.
