Watsonville, the second largest city in Santa Cruz County, is about 15 miles southeast of the City of Santa Cruz. It's the home of the annual Watsonville Fly-In & Air Show at the Watsonville Municipal Airport, as well as the Santa Cruz County Fair. The South County branch of the Santa Cruz Superior Court is located downtown at the Watsonville Civic Plaza.
Watsonville was founded in 1852 then becoming incorporated in 1868. It was named for judge John Watson.
