Art in Storefronts in a program from the SF Arts Commission to replace empty storefronts with engaging art, at least until the storefront can someday be filled again with an actual store.
Installations exist in the Mission District, Tenderloin, Bayview, and Central Market Street.
A similar project in Brooklyn, Willoughby Windows, took over a street block full of empty storefronts.
