I don't have time to write a proper page about Chris Carlsson, but he is, in a nutshell, a complete and total bad-ass, and a staple of SF organizing and activism.  Some tidbits:

• Chris was one of the co-founders of Critical Mass. Like, the Critical Mass.
• Chris is co-director of the people-powered history project, Shaping San Francisco.
• Created (co-created?) foundsf.org, a spin-off of the Shaping San Francisco history project. FoundSF.org is an interactive wiki containing all kinds of impossible-to-find-elsewhere historical information about the city.
• He's written a billion crazy awesome books about the city.
• He gives lots of talks, and gives regular and really totally amazing bicycle history tours.
