The Legion of Honor is a fine art museum that was modeled after the Legion of Honor in Paris. The Legion of Honor is located at an elevated point in Lincoln Park that overlooks the Golden Gate Bridge. Lincoln Park is the West Coast terminus of the Lincoln Highway, which was the first road across America. The terminus marker and plaque are located in the southwest corner of the plaza near the fountain.
You can also find a bronze cast of Rodin's The Thinker.
There is a vast collection of European art as well as various touring exhibits of art. Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco manages the collections.
Tickets may be used on the same day for free entrance to the de Young.
