Noe Valley is a neighborhood in the central part of San Francisco. The Castro is to the north and the Mission District is to its east. It was built up just after the 1906 Earthquake, so the Victorian architecture San Francisco is famous for can be found in this area. Noe Valley has the highest concentration of row houses in San Francisco.
One notable Noe Valley landmark is St. Paul's Catholic Church, featured in the movie Sister Act.
Community
Noe Valley is yet another area that was once primarily blue-collar, but gentrification has taken place and it can now be considered a primarily yuppie society. Young couples with young children populate this area most frequently.
