Telegraph Hill is a region of San Francisco that has been built on an extremely steep hillside between Sansome Street and Montgomery Street. The hill is so steep that it is only climbed by foot, wheels must go around. Greenwich Street and Filbert Street both become footpaths on the hill in order to fulfill this requirement. It is the location of the documentary The Parrots Of Telegraph Hill, and wild parrots do in fact live there. More recently, it has been subject to a few concerning landslides.
Community
The Telegraph Hill community appears to be private and rather quiet.
Businesses
Due to the precarious nature of Telegraph Hill, there are few businesses except at the base of the hill on Sansome Street.
Transportation
By foot, up very steep paths. That is all.
