The ongoing genocide in Palestine has been inflicted by Israeli forces through violence, human rights abuse, terrorism, and dispossession of Palestinian society. This has not only been affecting the direct parties, but the entire world with how families, friends and loved ones have ties and connections to the people under this force.

Students organized a pro-Palestine protest movement that convinced university president Lynn Mahoney to engage in open negotiations and develop a divestment proposal. Starting on April 29th of 2024, many showed solidarity by forming encampments on the Malcolm X plaza, as well as speaking out to the community through rallies about the true terrors and genocide that has been happening for decades.
