Apalachee Tapestry Magnet School of the Arts (ATMSA) was established in 1999 as Leon County’s first elementary magnet school. Since then, ATSMA has excelled in enhancing student education through artistic emphasis. Their program incorporates the arts into standardized state-approved core curricula. The goal of the educators and staff at ATSMA is to help students develop a passion for learning while nurturing their existing creativity.
The mission of Apalachee Tapestry Magnet School of the Arts is to empower the students to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens by enabling them to be self-directed and self-sufficient individuals in a constantly changing world. Students are enthusiastic and engaged in a dynamic, creative program. They develop through the study of core curriculum and dance, drama, visual art and music.
