Deerlake Middle School, located in the Killearn Lakes area of Tallahassee, has a student population of about 900.  During the 2011-2012 school year, Deerlake was once again one of the top-performing middle schools in Florida scoring 700 points on the Florida Department of Education’s grading scale. In addition to receiving a grade of “A,” Deerlake continues to be the top performing middle school in Leon County.
