Celebrate America, Tom Brown Park

Approximately 5:30 to 11:00 pm, Sponsored by the City of Tallahassee.

Celebrate America has been a Tallahassee Fourth of July tradition since 1985 and has grown from a small home-town celebration to become one of Tallahassee’s top four major events. The event’s main purpose is to bring together friends, families and visitors to enjoy an afternoon filled with fun, friendship, family, food and fireworks! Annually, thousands upon thousands of people flock to Tom Brown Park to enjoy a free concert and fireworks show to celebrate Independence Day. Celebrate America is a fun-filled event for the entire family. The event features a Naturalization Ceremony, two stages of live entertainment, a children’s area with pony rides, water slides and bounce houses and a hands-on activity area. There will also be plenty of food vendors, arts/crafts vendors and exhibitors. The evening ends with a fireworks display that begins at dark/about 9:45.

This is a big crowd and it's hard to park!  To get there with less hassle: Free shuttles start running from the Koger Center to Tom Brown Park on 15-minute loops at 5:30 p.m.

The fine print: No pets, no fireworks, no sparklers and no alcohol are allowed in the park. Coolers are subject to search and confiscation by officers of the law. A public beer garden for the 21+ among the revelers.

Killearn Homeowners Association, Shannon Lakes Park

Annually since 2006, begins at 5:30 pm and continues through the fireworks display which begins at dark.
