The center is devoted to connecting men and women who served in the military with employment opportunities, education benefits, counseling and on-site job training in partnership with WORKFORCE plus.

Leon County Veteran Services counsels and assists veterans and their dependents in processing benefit claims and obtaining other benefits entitled to them through the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and other federal government agencies.

The Leon County Veterans Resource Center (VRC) was been established to serve as a one-stop shop focusing on employment and educational needs to assist veterans that are transitioning from active duty to civilian life. VRC provides one-on-one counseling and features individual computer workstations and printers, in an effort to assist veterans in solving important needs. "Through this collaborative effort,  Leon County will expand its ability to serve veterans as they have served us."

Additional services include interviewing skills training, career planning and counseling to increase veterans’ marketable skills for employment. In addition to the partnership with WORKFORCE plus, Leon County has also partnered with local colleges and vocational training institutions to better serve veterans.
