Northwood Centre offers a wide variety of mixed-use office and retail space. The common area features ample comfortable seating groups, a coffee shop (What Cafe) with both outdoor and indoor seating, two snack bars (Zinny’s and Krue Thai Cafe), a gym (Anytime Fitness) and free wifi. The center is home to the Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend Region Also located at Northwood Centre are ProBank, Milano Pizza, FSU Autism Institute, State of Florida offices such as Department of Business and Professional Regulation, the Department of Children and Families and the Northwood Shared Resources Center. Within walking distance of Northwood Centre are McDonalds, Hooters, El Jalisco and One Fresh. Northwood Centre was previously Northwood Mall - the city's first shopping center (opening in 1969). It housed Tallahassee institutions like Rheinhauer's Department Store, Anella's Restaurant and was the first location of the City of Tallahassee's gymnastic program. Prior to that, the property was a dairy. |
